National Awards

2008 National Quality Home Comfort Award
Mechanical Air Service, Inc residential division once again received this top national honor from Contracting Business, the #1 monthly HVAC industry magazine for a special residential project in Atherton. This project incorporated an HVAC system with 23 separate cooling zones, a custom engineered 23 zone radiant floor heating system with gas heat backup. All HVAC and Radiant system zones were integrated with a Crestron home automation system. The furnaces were 94% efficient heaters and all 9 air conditioners were ultra high efficiency two stage units. The radiant boiler was a Lochinvar 95% efficient unit. All HVAC systems included electronic air cleaners and high intensity ultraviolet light systems for improved indoor air quality. Mechanical Air Service, Inc provided all engineering services, CAD drawings, installation and commissioning services. (Article Pending)

2007 RPA Radiant System Showcase Innovation Award
Mechanical Air Service, Inc. received this award from The Radiant Panel Association which is the largest trade organization dedicated to the radiant/hydronic industry. This award was given for a project we did in Portola Valley which incorporates a large solar water heater heating system together with the radiant system to provide heat for the home, spa and pool. All solar panels, heat exchangers, domestic hot water, spa and pool heat exchangers, pumps, boiler, multiple water temperature control and integration of all controls were installed by Mechanical Air Service, Inc.

2007 RPA Radiant System Showcase 16+ Radiant Zones Award
Mechanical Air Service, Inc received this award for a residential project in Atherton which had 23 separate radiant zones which were integrated with the HVAC system. Mechanical Air Service was the engineer of record for both systems. An energy efficient system including an ultra high efficiency condensing boiler, multiple speed pumps, outdoor reset control including all piping, system commissioning and integration controls with the Crestron system installed in the home.

2006 National Quality Home Comfort Award
Mechanical Air Service, Inc residential division received this top national honor from Contracting Business, the #1 monthly industry magazine for a special residential project in Atherton. This unique project incorporated many energy saving techniques as well as just about every indoor air quality feature available including the use of pleated pre-filters, 95% rated bag filters, VOC filters, HEPA rated final filters, UV light systems and a complete home pressurization system for this 13,000 sq ft home. Mechanical Air Service, Inc provided all engineering services, CAD drawings, installation and commissioning services.
